Music Against Depression

I love music and listen to it for many hours each day. I actively use music to put myself in the mood or state of mind I want to be in. For example, I use it when I need to concentrate, if I want to increase my energy levels, or if I just want to feel happier.

For those who suffer from depression, a playlist of music that makes you happier can be a useful tool. I have therefore created a playlist for this purpose. I’ve created it in Spotify, and you can find the link below. For those who do not use Spotify, you can still view the songs so you can create your own play list in the streaming service that you use.

You will see that my list contains many classics from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Perhaps you prefer more recent music. Or maybe there are some songs in the list you do not like. No problem – just add songs that you like and remove those that you dislike.

You could even try the dance experiment against depression, and see if it works for you.

Here is the link to the playlist on Spotify: Songs That Will Uplift You
